
CUI Jiayi is a yangqin player from China. Born in Shaanxi province, she learned the yangqin with her father from age 6. Jiayi studied at Xi'an Conservatory of Music’s Affiliated Middle School and the Central Conservatory of Music, under Shi Xuezhi, Wang Se and Huang He.
As a soloist, Jiayi reinterprets works from Chinese and Western traditions, as well as expands the yangqin repertoire by arranging and performing works by composers including Gyorgy Ligeti, Toru Takemitsu, J.S. Bach, Sergei Prokofiev, and George Gershwin.
She has played numerous solo concerts including in China and Australia, and appeared on CCTV, the Chinese National Broadcaster. Jiayi won first prize in the 2011 Chinese National Yangqin Invitation Competition and the Wenhua Award from the Chinese Ministry of Culture in 2008.
Since 2021, Jiayi has been part of the Suzhou Chinese Orchestra and performed at the Berlin Philharmonie, Vienna Musikverein Golden Hall, Salzburg Großes Festspielhaus, Munich Herkulessaal, Beijing’s National Central for the Performing Arts Theater, and Shanghai Symphony Concert Hall.
She has also performed with China’s most famous pop instrumental group, the Twelve Girls Band, in Nagoya Aichi Art Theatre, Kyoto Theatre, Tokyo Concert Hall, Vancouver’s Orfen Theatre, and the Beijing Olympic Stadium.
崔佳怡是一位来自中国的扬琴演奏家。
她出生于陕西省,6岁随父亲学习扬琴。先后就读于西安音乐学院附中、中央音乐学院,师从西安音乐学院青年演奏家史雪芝、中央音乐学院青年演奏家王瑟,中央音乐学院教授黄河。
作为独奏家,她重新诠释经典,扩展扬琴曲目,改编和演奏包括利盖蒂、武满彻、巴赫、普罗科菲耶夫和格什温等作曲家的作品。
她曾在中国和澳大利亚等地举办过多次个人独奏会。多次参与中央电视台的节目录制。获得2011年中国全国扬琴邀请赛中获得一等奖,2008年中国文化部颁发的文华奖。
自2021年以来,她随苏州民族管弦乐团在柏林爱乐大厅、维也纳金色大厅、萨尔茨堡音乐节、慕尼黑赫尔库尔音乐厅、北京国家大剧院以及上海交响音乐厅演出。
她也曾参与中国最富盛名的流行乐器组合女子十二乐坊,于日本名古屋爱知剧场、京都剧场、东京音乐厅,加拿大奥芬剧院以及北京鸟巢体育馆演出专场音乐会。
